I am New Here

Welcome – and thank you for visiting our website! There’s loads of information about us on this site, but below are some of the headlines to get us acquainted. We pray God’s richest blessing on you, and hope to meet you in person soon at one of our gatherings.

Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves

We are a church where you – no matter who you are or where you come from or what you believe – are welcome to explore what faith in Jesus Christ is all about. We are people whose lives have been transformed by Jesus and we want to share the hope we have found in Him with everyone. We are a church with a big bold vision – a place where we believe you can discover so much more to life through faith in Jesus, and where you can flourish and grow into all God has destined for you. In everything we do we simply want to help people believe in and follow Jesus. The Bible calls this being a “disciple,” and that’s a term you’ll hear us use fairly often because this is the great invitation to new abundant life that Jesus gives to everyone when he says “Follow Me.”

Where We Meet

We are one church currently gathering in three congregations spread across Pretoria in Silverton, Salvokop and Hammanskraal. Besides weekend services, we meet through the week in so called Connect Groups in homes to live out our faith in authentic Christian community. You are always welcome at any of our gatherings to meet people and explore and grow in your faith walk.

What You Expect At Our Services

Our Saturday services are a very welcoming environment where everyone can freely express and explore their relationship with God.  The environment is relaxed and casual, yet always expectant that as we meet together as church we will encounter God in a life-changing way.

The meetings usually start with the chorister leading us in singing Christian songs of praise, with the words projected onto a screen so everyone can easily participate. This is followed by the main talk, which is bible-based and designed to encourage and impact our faith and everyday lives.

We are serious about helping children and youth have a great time learning about God and growing in their own faith, and cater for them with specific activities happening either simultaneously, or shortly after the main service begins.

There is always opportunity to receive personal prayer at every service, and we love hanging out after our services to connect with new and old friends over good (free!) tea and refreshments.

If you are a first time guest, please look out for our Connection Team or Welcome Table in the foyer before and after the services. They have all the information you need to find your way around, know what is going on and to make you feel at home. The dress code for Saturday services is formal – people will generally be dressed in a tie, but you are also most welcome to not wear one if you wish!

The First Steps With Us

Besides welcoming you at a service, we invite you to consider two next steps:

  1. Visit a Connect Group – because it’s better to do life and faith together with friends!
  2. Attend the next New Believers Class – This is our core training course to help you find and follow Jesus, and fulfil God’s call on your life.
